Situation
Signmanager, Inc. is an international, award-winning consulting company that specializes in signage project management. Signmanager pioneered Web-hosted branded asset management with a system that is a world first in the industry. With employees in New Zealand, Australia and the United States, Signmanager assists corporations in managing national roll-outs, reimaging, rebranding, maintenance and repair programs. The company’s broad range of industry sectors includes corporate, financial services, agricultural, automotive and government.
The Signmanager system is accessed online and in real time to provide a living management tool including photographs, asset data, merchandising, floor plans, documentation and communication relating to each retail outlet. The benefits include an improved brand image consistency, 30 percent reduction in branded asset procurement costs and complete control over the branding process via Web-based service portal, among many others.
The goal of the company is to quickly establish their business in the North American market. In February 2009, Signmanager began seeking a small office space to accommodate their size and infrastructure. The desired space needed to have specific features, such as an open floor plan to accommodate their business model for brainstorming fresh ideas and concepts. In addition, easy access to colleagues and providing the same amount of space for each employee were essential. The space was also needed within a short period of time. The concept of open work areas originated in the Australia office, with all employees, including Chief Executive Officer Kris Vogt, sitting in a cubicle work station environment.
Furthermore, it was important to find a Class A office location that could provide a professional image, immediate availability and flexible terms.
